Annotate mode lets you draw on a step's screenshot β€” add arrows, shapes, and text to highlight exactly what matters.

Open annotate mode

Open a haiku and select the Options (β‹―) menu next to the step you want to edit. Select Annotate.

The annotate toolbar appears at the bottom of the screen.

Arrows and shapes

Select any shape from the toolbar to draw it on the screenshot. Click and drag to place it.

Arrows

  • Arrow

  • Curved arrow

Shapes

  • Rectangle

  • Ellipse

  • Triangle

  • Diamond

  • Star

Use arrows to point to specific UI elements. Use rectangles or ellipses to frame or highlight an area.

Text

Select Text to add a label anywhere on the screenshot. Click where you want it to appear and start typing.

Use text to name an element, add a short instruction, or call out something the screenshot alone doesn't make clear.

Crop

Select Crop to trim the screenshot. Useful when the captured area is larger than needed or includes content that isn't relevant to the step.

Undo, redo, and clear

Select Undo to reverse the last action. Select Redo to bring it back.

Select Clear all to remove all annotations from the screenshot and start over.

Save or discard your changes

Select Discard changes to remove all annotations.

Select Done when you're finished. Annotations are saved to the step automatically.
