Create and edit with AI

Haiku uses AI to help you build and edit your haikus. This article covers every AI feature and how to use it.

Haiku's AI runs on Google Gemini. AI features are on by default. You can turn them off in Settings.

AI features are available on the Enterprise plan.

Create a haiku draft from a prompt, before you capture a single step.

Describe the workflow you want to document and Haiku builds a draft with the steps laid out. Capture the real steps after to replace the placeholders with your own screenshots.

Use this when you know the process you need to document and want a structure to fill in.

When you finish a capture, Haiku writes the title and description for you.

Both are generated automatically. Select the Regenerate button next to any title or description to get a new version.

AI generation is on by default. To turn it off, go to the Documents section in Settings.

On the Free plan, AI generation is available for your first 10 haikus.

Change your haiku with plain language, instead of editing by hand. Describe what you want and Haiku makes the change for you. It works two ways.

On a step's annotations. Open a haiku and select the Options (⋯) menu next to a step, then select Annotate. Select the Edit with AI icon (✦) in the upper right panel. Type what you want to change, or select one of the suggestions. Haiku updates the arrows, shapes, highlights, and text on the screenshot.

On the haiku itself. Describe the edit in plain language and Haiku updates the guide. Rewrite step text, reorder steps, or update details across the haiku without editing each step by hand.

Viewers read your haiku in their own language. 14 languages are supported.

Haiku translates the steps in real time as each viewer opens the haiku. You keep one haiku. There are no separate translated versions to create or maintain.

AI features are on by default. To turn AI generation off, go to the Documents section in Settings.

Haiku's AI features run on Google Gemini. Content is processed to generate the output you request and is not used to train third-party models.
