Create a haiku

There are 3 ways to start a capture. All of them end in the same place — a polished, shareable haiku.

From Home

Select Create haiku on the Home screen. Haiku shows your currently open tabs. Select the one you want to capture, and Start capture. Recording begins immediately.

Don't see the right tab? Select New tab — a new tab will automatically open. It’ll then be added to the list.

From My haikus

Select Create haiku at the top of the My haikus page. The same tab picker appears. Select a tab to begin.

You can also do it from the Haikus page under your teams.

From the extension

Select the Haiku icon in your browser toolbar, then select Start capture. Pick a tab from the list and recording starts.

During the capture

Once recording starts, a side panel appears on the right. Haiku is now watching your clicks and turning them into steps.

Navigate through your workflow as normal. Every click is recorded as a step.

Modes. The side panel shows which mode you're in.

  • Capture — clicks are recorded as steps, but the page doesn't change. Use this when you want to capture actions on a single page without following links.

  • Capture and navigate — clicks are recorded and the page follows the action. Use this when your workflow moves across pages or sections.

Pause to stop recording across all open browser windows. Use this when you want to navigate without recording.

Select Resume to continue or Finish to wrap up with what you have.

Finishing the capture

Select Complete capture when you're done. Haiku builds your haiku automatically.

Your haiku opens ready to edit. Steps, screenshots, and descriptions are all generated. Edit, reorder, or annotate before sharing — or share it as-is.
