Edit your haiku

Open a haiku and select any field to start editing.


When you finish a capture, Haiku writes the title and description for you. Both are generated automatically using Gemini 3.1 Pro. Select the regenerate button next to any title or description to get a new version.

AI generation is on by default. To turn it off, go to the Documents section in Settings.


Haiku title

Simply click on the title field to edit it manually, or select the regenerate button.


Haiku description

Use the description to give viewers context about what the haiku covers before they start reading. Rewrite manually, or select the regenerate button.


Step title

Each step has a title generated automatically from the captured action. Select it to edit directly.


Step description

Below each step title is a description. Select it to edit. Use the description to add context, explain why the step matters, or clarify what the viewer should look for in the screenshot.


Click target

A click target is an orange circle overlaid on a screenshot to show exactly where to click.

To edit it, select Options menu (⋯). Select Edit click target.

Or edit it directly from the step screenshot. You can change the shape, size, and color of the target.


Keyboard shortcuts

Edit haikus faster with your keyboard. Common actions now have shortcuts. Press ⇧? to open the shortcuts menu at any time.
